Beginners
After this course whenever I hear a song I like, I can play it on the keys and create my own version of it. I highly recommend Piano.University to everyone who wants to play intuitively and also desires to become creatively expressive themselves. It's worth the money.
Returning Players
It actually bothered me that I always needed sheet music. And in fact, it's thanks to Gordon and this course, that after 30 years I finally rediscovered the joy of playing piano. And now it's so much fun. I can definitely recommend it.
Advanced Players
My training was purely classical. I never learned to improvise at all. With Gordon's help after a few weeks I could approach the music in a completely new way and had to practise much, much less because I understood the music. That eventually brought back my true joy.

I particularly liked the relaxed way he teaches it...
Hello, I’m Rudi.
Before I met Gordon November, I had never played the piano. With Gordon’s help, after just a few weeks, I was already able to play chords, harmonies, or even
put melodies I had in my head onto the keyboard, and it sounded quite decent.
What I particularly liked was the relaxed way he teaches it, and above all, that you can set your own learning pace and choose the learning content. So you can jump around in the lectures and just do the things that you enjoy at the moment. You can then delve into those topics specifically. Overall, I find the learning methodology itself very appealing and very helpful for me.
I would recommend Piano.University to you if you specifically want to learn to play the piano without sheet music. Of course, you always learn a few notes along the way, but the primary goal is not to learn notes and play by sheet music, but simply to put melodies onto the keys and not just produce noise, but rather to make it sound reasonably good, at least for your own use. If you want to learn intuitive piano playing, then I believe Gordon November’s method is highly recommended. So I can only highly and warmly recommend it.
I could suddenly play songs I heard on the piano...
To be honest, I was skeptical about the video course at first because I’m more of a logic-focused person. However, I quickly realized after the first few lessons that my skepticism was unfounded.
I was able to make progress very quickly. After the first few lessons, I was also able to quickly make the transfer and suddenly play parts of songs I had heard on the piano. That really happened very quickly.
Gordon was always available for questions via Instagram. He was always very friendly. From my side, I therefore give this course an absolute recommendation.
I have never played the piano...
Hello, I’m Regina.
Before I met Gordon, around November, I had never played the piano at all – just tinkered a bit and a few notes came out.
With Gordon’s help, I can now already add some melody and play the first almost recognizable songs.
What I particularly like is that I don’t have to learn sheet music, but can intuitively just tinker a bit from the heart, understand it by ear, and then put it on the keyboard.
I recommend Piano.University to all those who want to play intuitively and also want to be creative themselves. Have fun, it’s worth the money.
I am 72 years old and started playing the piano at 67...
My name is Roswitha. I am 72 years old and started playing the piano at 67. I simply bought a sideboard and an electric piano and started to tinker a bit. It’s terribly fun, and with
Gordon, I have already learned a lot. I will never perform concerts, I probably won’t play for other people either – but for myself, I like that. Thank you, thank you! Bye, bye!
Had to quickly switch to a larger electric piano...
Hello, my name is Siegfried.
Before I met Gordon November, I was a complete beginner. That means, three years ago I bought a keyboard and tried to learn it with a regular music school,
and gave up relatively quickly.
With his help, I was able to accompany songs relatively quickly, and also, because a lot of emphasis is placed on working out songs yourself in the course, that went very quickly.
I particularly liked the free playing and meditative playing.
I can only recommend it to everyone; this course is also suitable for beginners, and experienced players can probably get even more out of this course than I did. In any case, I had to switch from my keyboard to an electric piano very quickly. It was a lot of fun. Thank you very much.
My husband no longer hears a difference...
Hello, I’m Monique, and before I met Gordon November, I had already tinkered around on my neighbors’ piano. However, I couldn’t manage to transfer the notes because I simply
couldn’t make any sense of them at all. After just two weeks, with the help of Gordon November and his course, I was already able to play the first songs where my husband no longer noticed a difference whether I was playing a course exercise or something I played myself.
What I particularly liked was that I could go through the course content at my own pace, that the course as a whole costs only a fraction of actual lessons, and that I can play the content over and over again, as often as I like and in any order I like, and that my daughter loves playing musical statues with me and is now also developing an interest in music and the piano.
I recommend Piano.University to you if you also have trouble reading sheet music, because based on the description, you simply see the notes directly on the piano keys, if you feel it’s too much, because it really isn’t. I also recommend it if you always have a melody in your head and are looking for a way to express it, and if you generally have a lot of fun with music and recognize the added value of playing an instrument in your life to connect with other people. I wish you a lot of fun. See you then!
It was very strenuous and tedious...
Playing the piano has always held a certain fascination for me. That’s why I really wanted to learn it. I tried it for quite a while with a direct piano teacher, but the problem was always going somewhere once a week
to practice accordingly, then practice a little during the week, read through the notes, etc. Somehow, I never really found the time for it, and it was very strenuous, very tedious in the end.
What I really liked about the Piano Academy is that the approach is very intuitive. So you don’t start with notes, but first begin by understanding what kind of instrument this piano actually is, what you can do with it, and you relatively quickly approach playing your own songs.
And what I liked best, actually, is the part about meditative piano playing. It’s just so fascinating. You just sit down and tinker around, and a beautiful melody still emerges. It’s fascinating, you should definitely try it yourself. So I can really only recommend the course. Have lots of fun and see you soon. Bye!
You don't have to be very talented...
Hello everyone, I’d like to briefly share my experiences with Piano.University, and I must say, Piano.University is quite positive. I actually had my doubts beforehand. Is Gordon perhaps a fraud? Does the course really exist?
I took the risk, let’s say, bought the course, and yes, I can say it really exists and it’s a pretty good course.
There are small units where Gordon teaches you piano playing well. You don’t have to be very talented. It works step by step. You can manage your time well. So overall very positive. I can only recommend it.
Piano.University is definitely reputable...
I completed Gordon’s six-week course and I can say first of all, the course is definitely reputable and it worked for me. After this course, now, when I hear any song,
that I like, I can put it on the keys and create my own version. It’s a great introduction to piano playing and, above all, a lot of fun.
My heart beats faster when I can practice...
My name is Barbara. I am a businesswoman. I am an artist, painter, and designer. Due to this Corona crisis, I naturally haven’t been able to do much professionally, and then, through my intuition, I got the idea to learn piano. That’s when I stumbled upon you while Googling, because the word
“intuitive” was there, and that really appealed to me. Then I immediately got started. I bought a keyboard and practiced, and also tried to play melodies, starting with the scales, and to acquire that skill, so to speak, and while playing, I realized that it does me a lot of good and that this is also my way to learn piano without sheet music.
Until then, I had never played the piano, not even a single instrument, but it brings me joy. My heart beats faster when I can practice. I have an incredible amount of fun with it, and I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to learn something playfully, for example, an instrument, that this is exactly the right path for your university, what you do, your piano lessons, and I also booked your course and am really happy with it.
I’m glad we met. I wish you continued success, and I wish myself that I truly learn an instrument, so to speak. Thank you very much.
Tried with apps and tutorials...
Hello, my name is Ralf.
Before I met Gordon November, I tried to play piano with apps and other online tutorials, which was more or less successful.
With Gordon’s help, I quickly understood the relationships between chords and the structure of common songs.
I particularly liked the motivating structure of the lessons and especially the bonus lesson.
I would recommend Piano.University to you if you feel that traditional piano lessons aren’t really helping you with learning sheet music and that the tutorials available online are somehow too monotonous in the long run.
I invent things while I play...
So far, I’ve completed 50% of the old course, which is the much, much smaller course, but compared to what’s still ahead of me, I probably haven’t even done 20%. Nevertheless, I can already just play a bit freely and
for example, put melodies from my head onto the keys as they come to me. And now I’ll just play a bit freely. I haven’t practiced this beforehand; I’m inventing it all as I play, and you can listen to me for as long as you like.
So, if you’ve made it this far: Of course, there were a few notes in between that didn’t quite fit, but if you just keep playing, it doesn’t bother anyone at all and people don’t notice it that much. Maybe you didn’t even notice it in some places.
I really just played that freely. I have to say that I already had a little piano experience beforehand, but even if you’ve never played the piano, you can just play freely, and by playing freely, you automatically get better. What I often do is simply turn off the light in the middle of the night when I feel like playing a bit in the dark. That’s how you get to know the keys and learn which notes sound good. That’s how you can develop yourself at the piano, and it just happens over time.
Before that, tried a lot through trial & error...
Hello, my name is Stefan, and I completed Gordon’s piano course, and he has now released a new edition with 240 modules, which contains two things that really interest me.
One is ear training. At the moment, I’m not able to play even the simplest melodies by ear. It works through trial and error, but then with memorization, and after a few weeks, it’s gone again. That means, if my ear training is simply better, it would work much, much better, and I want to work on that.
The second is to improve rhythmically. To make it more diverse and simpler, he found a method using finger drumming. That means, simply drumming your fingers to music pieces and then transferring what you’ve drummed with your fingers to the piano. I find that totally exciting and brilliant.
Actually, I'm a drummer...
Hello, I’m Markus. I haven’t done the whole course yet, only parts of it, but it’s fine so far. I learned electric organ at twelve years old, for two or three years, then piano for one year. Otherwise, I’m actually a drummer in music and play the piano every few months or so.
the piano. For the next three weeks, I’m dog-sitting and have time to play the piano a bit at my friends’ house on an old piano. That’s it there. It’s about 100 years old, was freshly tuned as best as possible, and this is how it sounds. Greetings from Vorarlberg, Nüziders.
And so on and so forth. That’s my own composition. Bye.

I really tried...
Hi, I’m Gertrud.
Before I met Gordon November, I didn’t have a very easy career when it came to music. I grew up in a family of musicians, and there was a lot of obligation. Of course, you’re musical and you can just do it. But I couldn’t do it
the way people expected me to. Because of that, I was somewhat frustrated, because I simply couldn’t grasp this music theory – I really tried to understand it, I tried it alone again and again, I just didn’t get it. Even with different music teachers, I simply didn’t understand it.
With Gordon’s help, I gained courage. I started to understand keys. I felt like looking at things in this ‘music gym’ and realized: I get it now. So I don’t know what Gordon does differently, I really can’t tell you exactly, but what I can say is: I’m starting to understand it. And what really means a lot to me is that I simply gain confidence. I gain confidence: If I continue the course, I will develop further. And it works. It really works, even if you’ve wished for it for many years and haven’t had much success so far.
What I particularly liked, what I like about Gordon’s approach, is that it just is what it is, because you understand things and have fun, and he gives you a lot of courage to really tackle piano playing.
I think I would recommend it to you if you realize you’ve wanted it for a long time, but you think it won’t work anyway. And if you think it won’t work anyway, but you have the drive to try again, then seize the opportunity. All the best!
After 30 years, finally joy in playing the piano again...
Hello, I’m Marcus, and I took Gordon’s six-week course, and I actually owe it to Gordon and this course that after 30 years, I finally found joy again
in playing the piano.
I had already taken classical piano lessons as a teenager and then actually didn’t play the piano for 30 years until I came across this intuitive course from Gordon on the internet, and it really worked.
I didn’t think it was possible at first, but the super likeable, competent, and kind way Gordon presents it really captivated me, and I’ve stuck with it and I’m happy.
It annoyed me that I always needed sheet music...
Hello, hello there. I’m Frauke and I’m from Fehmarn.
Before I met Gordon on the internet, I had been playing the piano for a long time, but I think I stopped when I was 15 with the
piano lessons, then didn’t play for a long time, then received a piano as a gift ten years ago, and have been playing from sheet music again since then. It actually annoyed me that I always needed sheet music, that I could never just play or improvise.
With Gordon’s help, after a relatively short time, I was actually able to accompany myself while singing when I heard certain songs and tried to replay them. This chord thing, that really inspired me with Gordon, that I learned to simply say relatively quickly: “Okay, C major, F major, G major.” I think that’s really great.
I especially like Gordon’s friendly, cheerful way of presenting and explaining things. I think that’s really great and I’m just happy about it.
I would definitely recommend Gordon’s Piano University if you would like to not always have to play from sheet music, if you don’t want to say: “Oh God, I can’t do anything else, I just always have to have sheet music”, but if you just want to improvise, it’s exactly the right thing for that. I hope you enjoy it.
I have a whole new understanding...
Hello, greetings from warm Düsseldorf. I thank Gordon for this incredibly great way of learning or relearning the piano. I had piano lessons when I was seven years old
and then I didn’t feel like it anymore, and now it’s a lot of fun to try out old songs from the past, you have a whole new understanding, Schlager, rock, pop. With this knowledge, you actually know how everything is structured, and it’s very playful. And that’s just great. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I can only recommend it to anyone who enjoys improvising and enjoys replaying something. They should actually do it, and it’s not that expensive either. I’m not nearly finished with this program yet, but so far, thumbs up, great. Thank you. See you soon, bye.
No more problem just sitting down at a piano and playing...
Hello, I’m David.
Before I met Gordon in November, I played the piano as a child, always playing from sheet music with a piano teacher. I enjoyed that very much at times, but at some point I had difficulties with it,
that I keep playing, that I still want to learn new things.
With Gordon’s help, after a few weeks I was able to just strum around a bit and started learning some other pieces again. I could approach the music in a completely different way when I wanted to play something again. I had to practice much less in the sense that I simply understood the songs. I understood the rhythms, I understood the connections better, and I could simply experiment a bit on the piano.
I especially liked the motivating way, even though I haven’t quite finished the course yet. I’ve stuck with it for a very long time, considering it’s an online course, that it’s only through videos. I learned a lot, also through playing myself. I always enjoyed just sitting down and banging on the keys a bit.
I would recommend Piano University if you just want to play a little again, if you feel like it again after a long break, if you want to understand the piano differently. There are so many possibilities with this course and, let’s say, to work with the piano, to play, and that’s a lot of fun for me. Now, whenever I see a piano somewhere, I have no problem at all sitting down, playing some notes, improvising something. For an online course, it was worth every penny.
Tried again and again, paused and started again...
Hello, I’m Hans-Georg.
Before I met Gordon November, I had tried different piano schools again and again, paused and started again and again.
With Gordon’s help, after a few weeks I was already able to play freely without sheet music within my own framework.
I especially liked his relaxed, uninhibited manner.
I would recommend Piano.University if you want to make music for yourself instead of playing notes.
Being able to play Pippi Longstocking during the lecture...
Hello, I’m Tobias. Before I met Gordon November, I had already played the piano without sheet music. But it was the case that I couldn’t play it satisfactorily. I learned from YouTube videos after years of
having had piano lessons with sheet music.
I felt like after these piano lessons back then… I had started piano lessons for years as a child. Then at some point I noticed that I didn’t feel free at all at the piano. I can only play the piano if I get sheet music. I couldn’t play the piano without sheet music and the funny thing was that I only had sheet music that I didn’t really like.
And then I started learning with YouTube videos and was moderately successful. I could play something, but I wasn’t satisfied myself. I still felt somehow restricted and was somehow in the same pattern all the time. I couldn’t really get out of it and kept trying, but it didn’t really work.
With Gordon’s help, after a few weeks I was already able to play Pippi Longstocking on the piano. And the situation was like this: I was just having online lessons from university and then a cell phone rang during the online lesson with someone and it was a Pippi Longstocking music. I then tried to replay it.
I could already do that before. So before Gordon’s lessons I could have already done that, but as I said, I wouldn’t have been satisfied. I felt like doing it, then I did it, so I switched off the online lesson briefly and went to the side and played. I was satisfied and that was after a few weeks. That was the first realization I had with Gordon’s lessons.
I especially liked, I would say, the way Gordon conveys the content. It’s not a compulsion to have to do certain things. I think rather, he gives knowledge to the hand, which one then learns to implement independently. It’s not “Play you” or “Play what I just played”, but it’s more of a self-development of the piano. That’s how I feel about it.
That’s also very inviting. Gordon always invites again and again, like: “Welcome”. That’s very nice. I don’t know now how it is with other piano teachers who do such online courses, but I think I find it very inviting what Gordon does and that keeps you going, somewhere.
I would recommend Piano.University if you feel like playing beautiful music on the piano without sheet music that you like. If you only learn from sheet music or have only learned so far, then you can’t play things on the piano without sheet music. That somehow doesn’t work and Gordon conveys that extremely well.
I’ve already made a lot of progress, etc. I’m only halfway through the course. This freedom, if you want it on the piano, then I would recommend it to you.
I wanted to approach it differently now...
Hello, it’s Elke. So I would really like to recommend this course. I bought it pretty much at the beginning and just wanted to approach it differently. Learn to listen more through the ear, then become more independent from sheet music,
which I had already learned, but was always only in the beginner stage and find the course really, really good.
I also think it’s great that he accepts suggestions, such as changing the speed of the exercises a bit, that it goes slower, so that you can keep up better. He implemented that immediately without it costing anything.
He tries very hard and he does it wonderfully. So I think it’s really great and I can’t find a teacher in our area who offers something like that. Therefore, it is a very good opportunity for that. So I can really only warmly recommend it. Bye.
I had quit piano lessons...
Hello, I’m Ben and I’m 14 years old.
Before I met Gordon November, I had already had piano lessons for two years. But I quit this because playing from sheet music was no longer fun for me. After that, I had a few months break from
playing the piano until I noticed Piano.University.
With Gordon’s help, after a few weeks I was already able to replay the first song according to intuition.
I particularly liked the good structure of the individual topics in his course, as you knew directly from each heading what it was about and which topic was being dealt with. In addition, I think it’s great how much creativity you can use to not just replay each song, but develop it yourself in your own version on the piano. The way Gordon explained the individual topics to me is also very pleasant, as he has adapted the course not only for beginners, but also for experts.
I would recommend Piano.University if you no longer feel like having to replay piano songs only according to instructions, but would rather develop and build them yourself.
I had never played the piano again...
Hello, I’m Daniel and I would like to introduce you to my story today. Before I met Gordon, I have to honestly say that I had played the piano before, for four years in a music school, but suddenly I unfortunately lacked the motivation to
start playing the piano again, and I never played the piano again after those four years. It was also difficult for me to start again, because the motivation was simply gone.
With Gordon’s help, in a few weeks I was already able to master keys, I was already able to play chords, I was already able to use some things from the course in practice. That made me very happy, because I saw progress and that simply motivates you to continue. To be honest, I particularly liked the jazz and blues part of the course. That’s also my favorite genre, so I particularly like them in the whole course.
I would recommend Piano.University if you are, for example, a beginner, have never played the piano before – or, like me, have played the piano before, but suddenly stopped for reasons, I would definitely recommend Piano.University, the course, to your heart. I wish you good luck. That’s it from my side. Bye!
An entertainer gave me the idea...
Hi, I’m Michael, 67 years old.
I had two years of piano lessons when I was 14 and didn’t feel like it because only classical music was taught and they didn’t want to or couldn’t teach me modern music, I don’t know, and I didn’t really have any fun the whole time
playing the piano. Then, through an encounter in the restaurant, I met an entertainer who could play fantastically in my opinion. He then revealed to me that he couldn’t read a single note and I found that exciting. That’s when I started to sit down at the piano a little bit again, I think when I was about 34, 36 years old, but because I only knew notes, I tinkered around a bit to do that, but that was also very tedious for me because I could always play badly from sheet music.
Then I came across the course here from you, Gordon, and found it exciting. In that respect, I thought the concept was cool, that you brought everything down to C major and that you had to hear it well as a prerequisite and that you had to process this whole story as an earworm first, search for the song and then set the chords, and so on. I found that exciting. That reminded me of my old recorder days, that I used to be able to knock down every song I heard with the recorder. So I was interested in this course and started with it. After initial difficulties, I got to the fourth piece. I’m still working on that, but that’s simply because so much is going through my head, old earworms, and I’m constantly trying things out and that’s why I’m not getting any further.
In the meantime, I’ve put together a program that I can play. I think that’s two hours now without your pieces and I thought that was enormously great. I would recommend your course to anyone who just wants to have fun playing the piano and listening to songs and realizing them and improving themselves. I can only recommend that. It’s just a lot of fun for me. I now play almost half an hour, forty-five minutes, sometimes an hour almost every day, and sometimes I retreat and actually meditate at the piano. It helped me a lot that you told everything so nicely step by step in the course and that a little bit further and that you could experience everything yourself and that you were creative there and I noticed that I can remember everything quite well.
I’ve now also made a second video, where I just make a little potpourri or a kind of medley of a pianist that I admire very much. That’s one who couldn’t read notes either. The Beast is known. I tried to play that a little bit. Then I recently heard here, in New York, the musical of Into the Woods. There were a few earworms in there, which I also put together a little bit and a little bit of jazz and so on.
Okay, my dear. Thank you and goodbye.

I've been playing the piano for about 20 years...
I’m Jan-Christian.
I’ve been playing the piano for about 20 years, maybe a little more, mainly always with teachers at the beginning, that is, the first ten years. Then I noticed that I enjoy it at least as much without a teacher
because then I looked for the things myself and played more of what I actually felt like, when I felt like it, etc.
With Gordon’s course, after a few weeks I was definitely able to hear the melody very well and then, I thought it was very important, to actually look for an accompaniment myself. It may have been very simple at the beginning, but that motivated me a lot and was definitely a lot of fun.
But what I definitely liked is the very relaxed way of Gordon. He does the whole thing calmly and comfortably and it doesn’t seem somehow forcedly cheerful, but it is actually, I have the feeling, really cheerful. It’s just as much theory as absolutely necessary. That is, he explains it more with a listening example and I can remember that much better than if it was something with notes and dry theory. I’ve also tried to read books about it, but ultimately that never motivated me in the long term.
I would definitely recommend this course if you’ve often found that you can pick out a melody quite well, for example, perhaps with your right hand, but then you’re unsure how to really turn it into something you can play with your left hand, with accompaniment and all the trimmings. For that, I think this course is exactly right.
Without sheet music, I didn't even know what sounded good...
Hello, I’m Gloria.
Before I met Gordon November, I played the piano for many years in school, and there, classically, entirely by sheet music. That means I gradually learned to play pieces, note by note,
and could even play difficult pieces, but only by sheet music. The problem was that when I simply wanted to sit down at the piano and play melodies I liked, I didn’t really know what I could play, what sounded good, and why it sounded good. If you don’t practice pieces regularly, you forget them and can’t really play anything properly anymore, and I found that a shame.
With Gordon’s help, after just a few weeks, I was able to play melodies and sit at the piano to express my feelings, completely independent of sheet music, pieces I had to practice, or playing fingerings from a score or a sequence of notes. That brought me incredible joy, and it was exactly what I wanted to learn and successfully did.
What I particularly liked were these units, these bite-sized lessons, that you can work through one after another at your own pace, and also the option to delve deeper into certain topics, as much as you want, to get started if you need it for your understanding or from a sheet music perspective. But also, completely independently, to really dig into what interests you, and then always that joy and enthusiasm that comes through in these videos and the enthusiasm – I really liked that.
I would recommend Piano.University to you if, like me, you come from a sheet music background and can only play by notes, working your way through them until a piece eventually emerges. If you want to simply sit down at the piano and play melodies, understand why things fit together and what sounds good, feel freer and not so tied to the keys and notes, and rediscover the joy that I had somewhat lost before and have now found again with this. I’m very happy about that, and I wish you a lot of fun if you decide to join.
I always had to smile at the 'Mucki-Bude'...
Hello everyone. I’m Pit.
Before I bought Gordon’s course, despite several years of playing the piano, I just couldn’t progress. I ran out of ideas, I always played the same thing, and it was high time that I
came across this course.
After a few weeks, I had, so to speak, implemented Gordon’s new ideas, and that increasingly brought back my joy and fun.
What particularly convinced and pleased me was Gordon’s approach. It was never discouraging. On the contrary, he always encouraged us, or me: Keep at it, repeat it again, or just start playing freely. And that phrase, ‘just start playing freely,’ I particularly liked, and I wish that for everyone. Especially in the ‘Mucki-Bude’ section – I always had to smile at that, I hadn’t known it before – I received very helpful support, also because the course, by the way, is packed with expert knowledge from a pianist who really knows his stuff and conveys this knowledge in a very good way.
I recommend the course if you want to switch from playing by notes to improvisation. Just start playing freely, and suddenly you’ll notice something comes to mind that you hadn’t known before. You’ll realize it brings immensely more joy and is relaxing. I can only recommend Gordon’s course, and I wish you and everyone watching this a lot of fun. And thank you, Gordon, for sharing your knowledge and your wonderfully friendly manner. Pit.
I could only play by sheet music, nothing of my own...
Hello, my name is Hans Werner.
Before I met Gordon November, I basically only replayed what I had learned from others, nothing of my own.
With Gordon’s help, after a short time, I was already able to play my own rhythms and patterns. I think my piano playing has become much, much freer overall.
What I particularly liked was Gordon’s way of motivating newcomers to get into intuitive playing, for example, with other instruments or with all this table drumming. It’s really great how you get into rhythm that way.
I would highly recommend Piano.University if you want to embark on a journey to find your own rhythms, develop your own ideas, play the piano, and simply improvise much more of your own ideas into musical pieces. It’s really great. Thank you, Gordon, for your help.
Studied piano as a minor...
I’m Micha and I’m a music teacher at a secondary school.
My main subject was violin, and because of that, my piano playing suffered a bit. I always felt very intimidated to play something for the students in class,
because I simply don’t master it very well, nor song accompaniment. And of course, I didn’t learn improvisation at all – not even during my training, which was purely classical.
I find it super interesting, and what I think is great is that you can learn individually, meaning finding your own pace. If you already have prior knowledge in harmony, rhythm, etc., you can simply skip a few chapters or work through them faster, and you’ll achieve success quite quickly. I find it very interesting, even as an experienced musician, to learn something new or to truly get started with it.
I can definitely highly recommend Piano.University, even as an experienced musician. Ciao, take care, and have fun!
After 2.5 months, I could play and improvise my first song freely...
Hello, I’m Oliver.
I could already play the piano a little before and had also improvised Boogie-Woogie, but all at a comfortable level, before I met Gordon November.
With the help of these building blocks, after just a few weeks, I was able to play several pieces very quickly, and after about two, two and a half months, I could already play my first song, a pop song, from memory and even improvised a bit.
What I also particularly like is that we have various interpretation possibilities here, whether it’s pop, Schlager, or something else.
I can only recommend Piano.University to you if you want to learn to play the piano quickly and easily.
Impressed by how much love...
Hello, I’m Patrick.
Before I met Gordon November, I mainly played by sheet music.
With Gordon’s help, I learned to play some simpler pieces, naturally, and with enjoyment.
What particularly impressed me about Gordon’s course was how much passion he put into the production and how lovingly these videos are designed, and the whole package is really wonderfully done.
I would recommend Piano.University to you if you want to learn to play the piano freely and not even start by playing from sheet music. Take care, bye everyone!
Helped me find the right bass lines...
Hello, everyone. I’m Gerhard. I booked Gordon’s ‘Intuitive Piano Playing’ course about four to five months ago. I must confess,
I’m not quite as far along as I’d like to be, because I had water damage or a burst pipe at my house and have been very busy with that. But I have already booked several other courses, including with German online piano teachers.
Gordon’s, however, fascinates me, especially his different approach. What I particularly liked was his explanation of how to find the right bass lines – he even made a joke about ‘Pässe’ being for football. That helped me incredibly, and he has a very unique explanation that fascinated me. So once I’ve finished my work, I’ll get back to the course more intensively and will definitely complete it. I’m sticking with it. Will you too? Or if you haven’t yet, do it with him, book it, it’s fascinating. All the best.
I particularly liked the O.S.C.A.R.S. method...
Hello, my name is Silke.
Before I met Gordon November, I could only play songs on the piano if I had the sheet music for them.
With Gordon’s help, I can now
play my first songs freely.
What I particularly like about it is the O.S.C.A.R.S. method, because it helps me to work through songs step by step so I can then play them on the piano without sheet music.
I can recommend Piano.University to everyone who can already play the piano a little and now finally wants to sit down at the piano without sheet music and have a lot of fun playing.
I learned to create my own arrangements and be creative...
Hello, I’m Jenny. Before I met Gordon November, I had already tried various online courses. I wanted to learn to play pop songs intuitively and creatively. That’s why I was very
curious about Gordon’s method. Through Gordon, I learned to play pop songs by chords. What I particularly liked was that he shows how you can create your own arrangements and creatively adapt pop songs so they don’t sound boring. I would recommend Piano.University to you if you’re not an absolute beginner, perhaps have played by sheet music until now, and now want to learn to truly play freely on the piano. You’ll definitely learn that here. Have fun with it!
I can already play much more freely...
Hello, I’m Sonja.
Before I met Gordon November, I only played the piano by sheet music.
With Gordon’s help, after just a few weeks, I already
played the piano much more freely.
What I particularly liked was the length of the videos. I would recommend Piano.University to you if you want to play the piano intuitively but don’t know how.
