Piano.University is a branch of Wesenberg Musik & Bildung GmbH & Co. KG. Wesenberg Musik & Bildung GmbH & Co. KG is an adult education institution. Gordon November is the managing director. Our company headquarters are in Stuttgart.
WHO IS GORDON NOVEMBER ?
Gordon November has received many awards for his intuitive piano playing – including the prestigious Potsdam Chanson Prize (1st Prize + Audience Award). His self-produced album took him to all major radio stations – from SWR1 to NDR1.
FOR WHOM IS PIANO.UNIVERSITY?
You’ve come to the right place if you want to turn something you’ve heard or felt into music on your piano. If you want to understand the piano intuitively. If you want to understand music intuitively. If you feel like you’re not getting anywhere with sheet music and apps. It doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner or advanced.
HOW LONG DO YOUR COURSES LAST?
It is important to us that you can enjoy your time at the piano – without outside help. From our point of view, piano courses should be a temporary effort for you. What you learn should make you independent – and not dependent. That’s why we keep our courses compact and teach you techniques that make you independent.
ARE YOUR WORKSHOPS REALLY FREE ?
Yes, workshops are always free.
CAN I AFTER THE WORKSHOPS LEARN MORE ?
Yes. After each workshop we even give you 14 days of free access to our major main courses. You will have access to all lessons – without restrictions.
WHY CAN'T I BUY A COURSE IMMEDIATELY ?
Ensuring you have a good learning experience with our courses is the most important thing for us.
In our workshops you will learn how the method works. This is the only way you can assess whether you like the approach and whether you want to invest time in an entire course.
DO I NEED A PIANO ?
You don’t need an instrument for a workshop.
If you would like to continue learning with Gordon afterwards, a keyboard instrument is sufficient – ideally with a sustain pedal.
HOW MUCH DOES A PIANO COST?
Keyboards are available from 100 EUR (Amazon, Thomann, Mistermusic, Aldi, etc…).
Used pianos are available from 500 EUR in the classifieds.
I HAVE NEVER PLAYED THE PIANO BEFORE - IS THAT BAD?
On the contrary: Many people first try to learn piano on their own, but then acquire a wrong technique that they can hardly get a grip on.
In our courses, you learn the correct technique from the start.
DO I NEED KNOWLEDGE OF MUSIC ?
No. Instead, you will intuitively know what sounds good and right. This knowledge will stay with you – even if you haven’t practiced for a long time.
ARE YOU AGAINST NOTES ?
Notes are a tool for writing music on a piece of paper. They are what letters are to language.
However, sheet music is not necessary to learn to play the piano. Letters are not necessary to learn to speak.
Letters are necessary to write a book. A free speech, on the other hand, is better than a read speech. You can also combine both and give a speech with keywords. This is also possible when playing the piano.
